DIY: Make Your Own Tiled Hearth (Save Money!)

DIY: Make Your Own Tiled Hearth (Save Money!) This simple DIY can save hundreds of dollars. We installed a wood stove in the garage, and for safety, it requires a tiled hearth, they were quite pricey so we decided to go ahead and make one ourselves. Here's the step-by-step process :)

This was installed IN THE GARAGE...Just to let everyone know who are complaining. If you are doing a home install, follow your code guidelines. ALSO, at the time of installation, the guideline sheet that was given to us stated plywood as an underlay. Since several people decided to come on here with their "expertise" and trash this video I decided to double check our user manual (Oh and the installation was inspected and passed by local authorities) anyway, the manual states that "A grouted ceramic floor-tile surface installed per local building code considered equivalent".
