■ SRI LANKA, HIKKADUWA: It has been two months since I set my feet inside a proper gym. If you're a person who likes to get them muscles working I think you know how that feels: horrible! What's even more horrible is your first workout after a longer break. But seeing as I travel for most of the year with jet-lag, limited food options and a hectic schedule that is a feeling I'm quite used to soldier through. So when I found out there was a hotel in Hikkaduwa which has more gym per square metres than it has rooms, I was overjoyed and had to go check it out. This could be the start of getting back into shape. Although the workout I ended up doing can't be considered a workout it was a beginning nonetheless. So here's a little tour of the gym, some workout footage and a look at my room with a balcony and unobstructed sea-view.
