This is a great data analysis tutorial that goes above and beyond the simple Goal Seek feature in order to show you how to build your own robust formulas that reduce the need for actually using the cumbersome Goal Seek feature. Robust Goal Seek-like formulas take longer to construct but make life much easier in the long-run.
The 'by hand' method for Goal Seek is actually a great way to reverse engineer a formula in Excel. To show you how to do this, I go step-by-step through the method of slicing up a formula and piecing it back together in order to get the desired information from it based off of changing only one part of the formula - this description sounds confusing for sure, but I promise that I make it as easy as possible to understand in the tutorial.
