Perry Como with Freddie Carlone Band--1933-'34, Discovered Photos

Perry Como with Freddie Carlone Band--1933-'34, Discovered Photos Upon selling my late parents home and perusing their garage old stuff, we found some of Dad's old photos thought to be lost for 40 years. Dad, who played professional trumpet most of his life, was particularly fond of his 1930s musical adventures on the road with the Freddie Carlone Orchestra, featuring a young new singer, Perry Como, 20 years old. Dad, also 20, became close friends with Perry, usually sharing rooms at the major hotels where they typically performed around the country. My video covers Dad's newly discovered two photo albums for the years 1933-'34. (I claim the photos but not the music which is from Ted Weems Band, 1934, vocals, and Ozzie Nelson Band 1933-'34, instrumentals. Dad never obtained any Carlone Band recordings, but said if someone wanted to know what the band sounded like, listen to the very similar music of Ozzie Nelson's Band.)
