Sexual struggle is perhaps the hardest temptation single people face every day, especially in this day and age where there is sex everywhere we look. But I hope and pray that these 10 councils will help many of you to overcome this temptation! ____________________________________________________________________
The Ten Words of Counsel Regarding Sexual Purity for Single People:
➤First, do not seek regular sexual gratification through masturbation.
➤Second, do not seek sexual satisfaction through touching or being touched by another person, even if you stop short of sexual intercourse.
➤Third, avoid unnecessary sexual stimulation.
➤Fourth, when the stimulation comes and the desire starts to rise, perform a very conscious act of transfer onto Christ.
➤Fifth, pray that God would give you, in ever-increasing strength, a longing to know and love and obey him above all else.
➤Sixth, bathe your mind in God's Word.
➤Seventh, keep yourself busy, and when it is time for leisure, choose things that are pure, lovely, gracious, excellent, worthy of praise (Philippians 4:8).
➤Eighth, don't spend too much time alone.
➤Ninth, strive to think of all people, especially people of the opposite sex, in relation to eternity.
➤Finally, resolve to seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and he will add to you everything you need sexually.
