I kept going back and forth to the kitchen and Ally’s bedroom hoping I could hear what they were talking about and I couldn’t stop myself from standing beside the window checking Jessica out when she was about to leave. I saw her driving her car away and for the first time ever, I felt like wanting to ask her for a date. I don’t have to tell you that I have never been on date, do I?
Dating was asking people to judge you, voluntarily. I tried it once a long time ago and ended up being made fun of, so I swore never to do it again!
But this time, it was different. I mean Jessica seemed different, and I’ve never felt such strong emotions about anyone before!!!
I would never leave the house If I knew she was coming. I stalked her all through her social media accounts and I followed her at school. I became so crazy about her.
So, to stop this madness, I did the unthinkable. I asked Ally to help me.
Ally looked at me and burst out laughing: “ oh do you want me to help you?! You must be crazy”
I begged: “ Come on Ally! Please!! I’ll do anything for you! I’ll stop bugging you about your loud music and all. I won’t tell your dad what hour you came last night!! I want to feel what it’s like to date! I REALLY LIKE JESSICA!!”
Ally stared at me for a moment. Then she said: “ Ok fine, but don’t forget that you owe me! I might need you in a week or so!”
I smiled and said: “ ok deal!”
Ally started explaining to me how I should ask Jessica. She told me all about the things Jessica liked the most and things started getting exciting from that point on.
Instead of asking her on a date upfront, I left her a note on her chair at school saying: “ your beauty got me out of my comfort zone, I dare you to get out of yours. Will you go on a date with me?!” I also added my number hoping that she’ll text me back, and guess what! she did!!!!!
Jessica was surprised and a bit disappointed to know that it was me who left the note, but she agreed to go out with me. I took her to the fanciest restaurant in town and she was impressed.
“ you are full of surprises Dan!” she said with a smile.
I was happy to hear that. It all went well and at the end of the date she said: “ I didn’t expect it to go like this but I’ll be to see what this leads to!”
I was over the moon to hear that and just like that, Jessica and I started dating.
The next day, I saw Ally getting ready. She was wearing a beautiful red dress and had some makeup on.
“ going out with someone?” I asked!
Ally laughed and said: “ yeah! I just met him the other day. His name is Trey. He’s so handsome you won’t believe it!!”
Then, ten minutes later. A fancy car stopped in front of our house. I couldn’t see her boyfriend because the windows of the car were black but Ally was extremely happy when she hopped in
Things were great for a while. Ally and I stopped fighting and getting on each other's nerves. She was busy dating Trey and I was having the time of my life with Jessica whose birthday was coming up in two weeks
