“The Only Way” to Beat Hamilton
Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has been touted by many as a future world champion but for now he needs to beat the reigning champ Lewis Hamilton to get to that crown.
Former F1 champion Damon Hill had some pointers for the young Dutch driver. He began by acknowledging how good Hamilton is.
"It’s hard to think of any [weaknesses].”
"As a driver he now has an almost unassailable mix of extraordinary talent, experience and confidence."
He then revealed the only thing that Verstappen can do to beat Hamilton
“The only way to beat him is to do what Nico did and make him feel uncomfortable"
“Lewis doesn’t do cunning, wiliness – that doesn’t seem to be his bag. If he is up against someone prepared to unsettle him he might be a little bit vulnerable.”
Massa: “I Wouldn’t Change” Ferrari Lineup
Vettel’s seat at Ferrari seems destined to be the catalyst to send the upcoming F1 driver market into silly season as the names of many possible candidates for the seat have been making the rounds of the rumour mill.
Former F1 and Ferrari driver Felipe Massa, however, feels that Ferrari should stick with their current line-up
"I wouldn't change anything about this line-up if I were Mattia Binotto.”
"Sebastian has won four world titles and Leclerc has enormous potential, which should not be underestimated."
He did relent for Daniel Ricciardo and feels they should go after him if possible
"I would go for him. He's very strong and very entertaining to see on the track"
He concluded by looking at the scenario of Lewis Hamilton driving for Ferrari and advised against such a move though.
"That would be a dream. However, Hamilton could get in the way of Charles' growth and possibly mentally demolish him. It could turn out wrong.”
