Sudden curfew announcement in Turkey sparks shopping panic Turkey has announced a two-day curfew in its most populated areas in an attempt to try and contain the spread of the novel coronavirus.

People rushed to grocery and convenience stores after the announcement.
Thirty-one provinces are included in this curfew - including Istanbul and Ankara.
Bakeries, hospitals, pharmacies and medical equipment manufacturers are exempt.
The curfew is due to be lifted at 11:59pm on Sunday.
Turkey confirmed 98 more deaths from the virus on Friday, bringing the total number to more than 1,000.
