Recent Hornady LnL Upgrades: Custom Gnurly (#2) and Mag-P's

The recent upgrades to my long untouched (not to be confused with unused - I just haven't found the need, or so I thought, to do any more upgrades to my rock solid LnL and my mechanical ammo plant) Hornady LnL are a direct result of my recent Dillon XL750 build.

While searching for components I stumbled across Entirely Crimson and their quality upgrades for various presses. Saw they had an aluminum powder/bullet strainer for the Dillon as well as the LnL. Order the Dillon as well as the LAST one for the LnL (it was meant to be ;-).

The Dillon fit like a charm with the powder cap. Unfortunately because I have a custom aluminum cap for my LnL powder measure, it didn't fit into the inside diameter of the bullet/powder strainer. Thought I was just going to have to swap them out when using the LnL, a reasonable solution.

Then I started poking around online. Back in 2014 I ordered the Bully Adapter (Socal S&W) for my LnL. I was VERY impressed with their aluminum work, but wasn't too keen on meshing that with the Lee tubes. I then reached out to David, the owner of Socal S&W to do some custom work for a swager idea I had for my LCT. Again, EXCELLENT work.

Followed that up with a request to make a powder cap with knurls. So I'd like to believe I have the 1.0 of the Gnurly, which they now sell on their site. Reached out last week to see if David would do a custom size Gnurly to fit my recently acquired powder/bullet strainer and what you see in the video is the custom Gnurly. Beyond AMAZING work!

When I was poking around socalsw, I stumbled across the Mag-P - looked similar to the Double Alpha case feeder, but MUCH nicer being aluminum instead of polymer (which I refer to like an idiot as "pmag" and other names in the video) and given how bummed/disappointed I was with how the Hornady tubes are performing on the Dillon XL750, I decided to order a Mag-P for the LnL as well as the XL750. Takes a LOT to impress me and these products are stunning. Almost like works of functioning art. Beautiful, solid and work great (as I show on the LnL). Now maybe I can take apart my tube hack on my feeding die for the LnL.
