Join me on a beautiful March day as I walk to Hampton Court Palace in the south western reaches of London, famously home to King Henry VIII and his wives. We start in Bushy Park at the Diana Fountain and walk along Hampton Court Road to Hampton Court Palace. The UK lockdown for coronavirus is in its first few days for this walk, so while Bushy Park is still permitting pedestrians, Hampton Court Palace and Gardens are completely closed. We go for a history walk around the outside, taking in the River Thames and Barge Walk, and from there across Hampton Court Bridge, finishing at Hampton Court train station.
For some reason I had my east and west completely back to front for this entire walk!
