Laikipia youths to supply kales, spinach seedlings to vulnerable families

A group of six youths from Nanyuki, Laikipia County have launched an initiative to supply kales and spinach seedlings worth Sh40,000 for the establishment of kitchen gardens to vulnerable families living in Majengo and Likii slums. The youths most of whom run small businesses and who have in the past been involved in philanthropy work were moved by the plight of the families last week when they donated maize flour and the beneficiaries asked for money to buy vegetables, yet they have small pieces of land they can convert to kitchen gardens.
