“We’re increasing the amount of deputies that are out there on patrol,” says Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva, who tells Dr. Phil how the largest sheriff's department in the country is responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
He says that not only are his deputies a presence in areas of essential services where people still congregate; they’re also keeping close watch over shuttered businesses, “Because we know that there’s going to be people who are opportunists.”
