As a former operating room nurse, school nurse and now a google classroom expert, I felt inspired to film a video demonstration on how to properly wear and dispose of a mask and gloves. I hope somehow this video helps at least one person. New Jersey's numbers are skyrocketing and people think it's helpful to wear a mask and gloves. In fact, it's just giving most people a false sense of security and putting them at greater risk (not to mention you're taking them away from people on the front lines that need them!) Please, if you must wear a mask and gloves, follow these very important tips!!! Thank you!!! Another important fact... The CDC is actually against the average person wearing a mask right now. These people are taking them away from health care providers. Also, they are wearing them improperly which causes more germs to spread. Anyway, research shows that washing your hands, not touching your face, and social distancing are key to staying healthy. The goal of this video was only to teach those that are already wearing masks (I don’t know where they got them!) how to do so properly.
